It is with regret that the Committee, and decision ratified at the AGM in 2022, announce that the Club will no longer be holding its annual Show and the Show licence cancelled accordingly with Office.
This decision has been reached with regard to the age, and in some cases, health issues of the Committee who now find the physical , as well as mental, efforts of a Show harder to achieve.We also have to protect Members monies and with the ever increasing costs involved in producing a Show this is a continual worry with regard to putting on the type of Show for which we have been known, with the Section ever decreasing in terms of entries and support.
We thank everyone who has supported us in the past and hope you have enjoyed our efforts.We all have happy memories of our Shows and the laughs we have had- who can ever forget our Vice President John Hansson leaping from trestle table to trestle table fanning the fire alarms when ‘’bacon-gate’ set them off! We strived to have Shows where everyone had a smile on their face , laughter heard ringing around the Hall and prizes and specials for everyone (with no one going home empty handed) and we think over the eleven years we achieved that.
You will still hopefully see the Club Stall at a few Shows and your Club will continue to be represented at BAC and Council Meetings.
